Remote Sign Language Interpreter Connect and Support Students in Dearborn, MI

About VocoVision :
VocoVision is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide remote interpreting services for K-12 students in Dearborn, Michigan. In this role, you will facilitate clear communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers or instructors in a virtual learning environment.
What Youll Be Doing :
Provide real-time interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring clear communication in virtual classrooms.
Translate lessons, discussions, and other instructional materials into American Sign Language (ASL).
Collaborate with teachers, students, and parents to ensure effective communication and engagement.
Participate in virtual meetings to support student learning and inclusion.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow Michigan educational standards for student support.
Requirements :
Masters degree or relevant certification in interpreting or related field preferred.
Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing (virtual experience preferred).
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting.
Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
