Dental Receptionist

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join a family-owned dental clinic located in NE Portland. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients. As the first point of contact, the ideal candidate will help manage front office operations with professionalism and care.

LOCATION : Portland, OR

SALARY : $23-24/hr. DOE

SCHEDULE : Full-time, Mon-Fri | Mon, Thurs: 8am-5pm | Tues, Wed 7am-4pm | Fri: 8am-4pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and check in patients with professionalism while managing all front desk interactions
• Handle multi-line phones and communicate with patients via phone, email, and text
• Schedule, confirm, and adjust appointments to optimize patient flow
• Verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and process patient payments and co-pays
• Maintain accurate patient records and perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or equivalent required; dental or medical front office experience preferred
• Familiarity with dental terminology and Eaglesoft software is a plus
• Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with computers and office software, including Microsoft Office
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professionalism and patient confidentiality

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Occasional bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 20 lbs) may be necessary. A clear speaking voice and good hearing are essential for effective communication with patients and team members in person and over the phone.
