*Overview*
The Postdoctoral Psychology Internship at Amavi Integrative Mental Wellness is a one-year, full-time position designed to fulfill supervised experience requirements for licensure as a psychologist in Colorado. This position offers a structured, supervision-based training experience focused on the development of clinical, diagnostic, and professional competencies necessary for independent practice. Interns will receive weekly individual supervision and biweekly group/didactic supervision provided by a licensed psychologist.
This Internship provides an immersive opportunity to work in a collaborative, trauma-informed outpatient clinic serving individuals and families across Boulder County and the Front Range. Interns will engage in psychotherapy, diagnostic evaluations, and multidisciplinary team collaboration, while optionally exploring program development, psychological assessment, or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).
*Position Highlights*
* Start Date: September 1, 2025
* Duration: 12 months, full-time
* Salary: $50,000–$60,000 depending on experience
* Supervision: 1 hour/week individual + 1 hour/biweekly group/didactic
* Caseload: Approximately 25 clients/week
* Training: Weekly didactics, consultation, and optional involvement in assessment or KAP
* Environment: Collaborative outpatient clinic with an integrative, trauma-informed focus
*Essential Functions*
* Conduct initial diagnostic evaluations and clinical intakes
* Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
* Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families
* Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards
* Participate in weekly team consultation and interdisciplinary case review
* Optional participation in psychological assessment and integrative services
*Experience Requirements*
* Clinical experience providing outpatient psychotherapy
* Interest in trauma-informed and evidence-based care
* Prior work with mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, or neurodevelopmental issues is preferred
*Educational Requirements*
* Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
*Certification and Licensure Requirements*
* Completion of an APA-accredited or APPIC-member internship
* Eligibility for Psychologist Candidate Registration in Colorado (per DORA guidelines)
*Employment Commitment*
Postdoctoral fellows agree to a one-year employment commitment following successful completion of the internship, contingent upon mutual fit and clinical leadership approval. Continued employment supports client care continuity and long-term professional growth.
