Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sentinel is looking to add a Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer to join the team in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package. A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer has the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. Nuclear Surety ensures that nuclear weapons are protected against peacetime and wartime threats at all times. A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman on the Sentinel program will be provided the opportunity to: Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation. Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system. Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems. Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals. Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems. Use model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design. Learn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and Munitions.
