As a **Security Officer - Mall Patrol** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more . As an unarmed patrol officer at this retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will interact with the public, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. **Position Type: Part Time** **Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Mon08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Sat08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Sun08:00 AM - 04:30 PM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues. + Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. + Assist visitors, tenants, and staff with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence. + Support emergency response activities according to established protocols for the location. **Minimum Requirements:** + A valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is required for driving positions only. + Customer service experience is preferred. + A California Guard Card is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more...
