The Recovery Technician will be responsible for operating a straight truck while collecting used oil, filters and plastics throughout the designated province. This individual will require a high level of professionalism and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote GFL’s wide range of service offerings. Oversee cargo handling, secure loads, ensure compliance with regulations, and perform trip inspections for safety and roadworthiness. Maintain and verify load-related documentation, including manifests, driver logbooks, and bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Operate trucks safely, maneuvering for loading/unloading, inspecting vehicles, reporting defects, and adhering to transportation laws. Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and the public while ensuring timely and professional deliveries. Perform loading/unloading duties, clean up debris, provide feedback on issues, and train others when required.
