A-Line Staffing is now hiring part time Patient Escorts in Houston, TX. The Patient Escort would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be a part-time position.

Patient Escort Compensation

• The pay for this position is $16.27 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Patient Escort Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is part-time hours with rotating weekends, some holidays, and shifts ranging from 6:45 am – 3:15 pm or 11:45 am – 7:00 pm
• Must be consistently punctual and maintain excellent attendance

Patient Escort Responsibilities

• Escort patients using wheelchair, stretcher, or hydraulic stretcher to and from appointments throughout the healthcare campus
• Sanitize wheelchairs using approved disinfection protocol prior to each patient transport
• Complete Daily Disinfection Tracking Log with required information such as patient MRN, equipment used, and times
• Follow equipment checklist to assist patients safely in and out of wheelchairs
• Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor while providing excellent customer service
• Communicate effectively and navigate the campus independently
• Push patients weighing up to 250 pounds for extended periods

Patient Escort Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of patient care or high-volume customer service experience
• Ability to push at least 200 lbs. using wheelchair or stretcher
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Must adhere to dress code and onboarding requirements
• Willingness to work at alternate locations if needed
• Able to stand for the entire shift; position is labor-intensive and requires physical stamina

Patient Escort Preferred Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred
