Description
We are looking for a Medical Surgery Scheduler with hands-on experience coordinating patient care before and after surgical procedures. Join our team and play an integral role in delivering seamless patient care!
Key Responsibilities
+ Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring the availability of operating rooms, equipment, and the surgical team.
+ Communicate with patients, surgical staff, and surgeons regarding pre-operative instructions, check-ins, and appointments.
+ Assist patients in understanding their pre- and post-operative requirements, ensuring they are prepared for surgery and aftercare.
+ Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for surgical procedures.
+ Input, review, and maintain accurate patient scheduling information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
+ Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative team members to manage and adjust surgical schedules as needed.
+ Answer patient inquiries and address concerns in a professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer service.
+ Assist with maintaining compliance with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality practices.
