Vaco has partnered with a mission-driven healthcare organization that is in search of a Senior Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations. The role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work independently within a structured team. 

 
Job Title: Interim Senior Staff Accountant 
Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite) 
Pay Rate: $35 - $45 per hour 
Project Duration: 3+ months (potential contract-to-hire) 

 
Responsibilities Include: 

• Maintain accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate financial records 

• Participate in monthly close, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations 

• Support audit and compliance efforts as needed 

• Contribute to ad hoc projects and financial analysis 

 
Qualifications: 

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field 

• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience 

• Strong Excel skillset

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines 

• Ability to work onsite at the Phoenix office

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
