We are especially interested in candidates who have at least one year of sales experience and/or who have obtained a California State Insurance license in Life, Health, and Accident. Please be aware that because this industry is Federally regulated, if you are not already licensed when applying to this role, you will be responsible for obtaining a state insurance license prior to operating (we can share more information on this process if you require it).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Contact new and existing clients to identify and understand their needs, budget, and goals

  • Comfortably and confidently navigate personal health and medical questions in order to complete a client qualification form

  • Utilize internal software to assist in shopping across multiple carriers and carrier products in order to choose the best fit solution for the client based on capabilities, purpose, and budget

  • Connect with clients (typically via Zoom unless phone only is requested by the client) in a warm and personable manner to explain your role and purpose as a licensed life insurance and financial solutions agent

  • Present life insurance and/or advanced market solutions and quotes to clients clearly explaining product capabilities and assist the client in choosing a path forward

  • Answer any customer questions and walk them through the completion of the online carrier application process

  • Enter new business into company software to trigger commissions compensation and track commission structure and bonuses

  • Track weekly calls, appointments, and submitted apps

  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information and product/carrier solutions

  • Ensure written apps have been fully approved with underwriting and make any necessary follow up calls

  • Create and exceed personal sales targets and goals by following the proven system and performing mentor check points for support

  • Follow up annually with existing clients to ensure their needs are still being met

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States

  • Current state life insurance license (or willingness to obtain one before beginning to write new business)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in some form of customer service (or a keen ability for communication)

  • Strong computer, communication, listening, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-growing and ever evolving industry

  • Customer-focused approach to listening and strong presence for guiding the right sale

  • Resilience and strong belief in one’s capability to succeed

  • Team player attitude

  • Working knowledge of Zoom and remote workspaces (such as Crew, GroupMe, Slack, or something like it)

  • Sales-driven and self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of the insurance or financial solutions industry is highly desired but not required

  • Ability to provide clear communication to potential clients

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Hunger for self development

  • Strong time management and business tracking skills

  • Commission (beginning at 80% with performance-based increases of 5% up to 130%)
