Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Motorola Solutions Manufacturer Representative to focus exclusively on state and local government accounts. This role will be responsible for driving sales of Motorola’s mission-critical communications solutions, including two-way radio systems, broadband PTT (WAVE), Avigilon Video & Access Control, and public safety communication technology. The ideal candidate will develop relationships with key government stakeholders, manage the sales process, and work closely with Motorola’s distribution and channel partners to maximize market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow Motorola Solutions product adoption within state and local government agencies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government decision-makers, procurement officers, and public safety officials.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Motorola’s portfolio, educating government agencies on the benefits of P25 radio systems, broadband PTT (WAVE), Avigilon Video & Access Control, and integrated communication solutions.
Work closely with Motorola Solutions' internal teams and channel partners to coordinate sales efforts and ensure customer satisfaction.
Stay informed about government procurement processes, funding opportunities, and industry regulations that impact sales opportunities.
Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and bid solicitations on public safety and government communication systems.
Represent the company at government conferences, trade shows, and industry events to enhance visibility and generate leads.
Track sales performance, pipeline development, and customer engagement using CRM tools.
Required Qualifications:
Proven sales experience in telecommunications, public safety communications, or government technology sales.
Strong understanding of Motorola Solutions' product offerings, including P25 radio systems, WAVE PTT, broadband LTE solutions, and emergency communication networks.
Experience working with state and local government agencies, understanding their procurement and decision-making processes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to collaborate with channel partners, distributors, and internal sales teams.
Familiarity with government funding sources and grant programs for public safety technology.
Proficiency in CRM software and Google Suite.
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience selling Motorola Solutions products.
Knowledge of public safety communications (NG911, FirstNet, P25, etc.).
Background in public sector sales, government contracting, or technology consulting.
